Carly has been part of the Meglio family since 2023. She has more than a decade of experience in writing for digital media and has contributed to a number of online publications, including Huffington Post, Authority Magazine, and Thrive Global. 

Carly has a keen interest in writing about health and fitness and has recently enjoyed writing for physiotherapists, martial arts franchises, and sleep experts. In addition, she is currently undergoing training to obtain her PT qualifications.

Laurence Plant

Chiropractor & Clinic Director, Henley Practice

Laurence Plant is the Clinic Director at Henley Practice, leading a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients.

He completed a five-year undergraduate Masters at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, during which time he gained valuable experience assessing and treating players from Bournemouth Football Club, focusing on minimising injury risks.

At Henley Practice, Laurence maintains a collaborative approach that combines chiropractic care, physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, sports massage, yoga, Pilates, and nutritional analysis.

By constantly seeking to expand his knowledge and that of his team, Laurence is committed to delivering high-quality care that addresses the holistic well-being of his patients.

Jason Dodd

MSK Sports Therapist, Bodylogics


Jason Dodd is an MSK Physiotherapist and Sports Therapist at Bodylogics.

Jason has worked in professional and semi-professional football as an academy therapist as well as First Team Physiotherapist.

Specialising in knee, hip and running-related issues, along with sports injuries, Jason brings invaluable insights to the community, drawing from his extensive experience and rigorous training in rehabilitation modules. 

As a former P.E. teacher, Jason places high value on educating his patients as part of their treatment so that the positive effects extend far beyond their initial programmes.

Jason has represented England Squash at both the World and European Junior Championships and is an active athlete at the England Athletics Lea Valley Centre in Enfield.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys taking part in a wide variety of sports as well as spending time with his family where he has 3 young children.

Julie Hayton

Managing Director & Head Therapist, Function Jigsaw 


Julie Hayton is the founder of Function Jigsaw where she leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering innovative and proactive healthcare. 

Julie's journey into health and well-being began after a career in mechanical engineering with British Nuclear Fuels. She then pursued a Sports Rehabilitation Degree at Salford University.

With over 20 years in the health and well-being industry, Julie's career highlights include her role as a Junior Academy Therapist at Leicester City Football Club, followed by a significant tenure with Leicester Tigers. There, she advanced to Head of Medical Services, overseeing a team of 14 practitioners and managing a squad of over 50 players. 

Julie’s extensive experience includes working as an injury management consultant with British Ski and Snowboard, World Super Bikes, MMA, and British Athletics. She continues to consult with clubs on complex injury cases and performance reviews.

Passionate about education, Julie regularly hosts professional workshops and courses, including Meglio's Introduction to Basic Sports Strapping and Taping, and presents at colleges and universities. Through Function Jigsaw, she brings elite medical care to the general public, ensuring a collaborative approach to health and well-being.

Michael Hainsworth

Senior Sports Therapist, Function Jigsaw


Michael is the Senior Sports Therapist at Function Jigsaw, with over 6 years of experience in clinical and professional sports environments.
 

He has treated professional athletes, recreational sportspeople, and the general public. Michael holds an MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine and a BSc (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Therapy from Leeds Beckett University, graduating in 2016. 

Between 2021 and 2023, Michael worked with Leicester City Football Academy, providing pitchside trauma management, and was responsible for leading the injury management and rehabilitation of the U21s Leicester City Women's Football Club. 

Michael enjoys working with individuals hailing from a range of different standards to drive performance specialising in injury assessment, exercise rehabilitation, strength training, manual therapy, and dry needling. 

Additionally, Michael co-hosts our Introduction to Basic Sports Strapping & Taping course alongside Julie Hayton. Michael played both football and tennis while growing up and now focuses on functional fitness in gym-based weight training.

Daren Hutton

Practice Director & Lead Physiotherapist, Burnham Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic


Daren Hutton is the Lead Physio and Practice Director at Burnham Physiotherapy.

Qualifying in 1991, Daren is also an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner shoulder specialist in the NHS. He also has a particular interest in treating back problems.

Daren also boasts a background in competitive sports, having competed internationally in swimming and football.

Ruth Rose is the driving force behind City Osteopaths in Manchester.

Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy in 2003, Ruth has accumulated a wealth of experience working in clinics across West Yorkshire and within the NHS.

Registered with the General Osteopathic Council, Ruth’s diverse background enables her to treat a wide range of conditions.

Vikki Harrison-Edwards

Practice Director & Acupuncturist, Chameleon Acupuncture & Wellness


Vikki earned her degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture from the Northern College of Acupuncture in York.

Battling osteoarthritis in her knees since her teens, Vikki struggled with severe pain and mobility issues, relying heavily on painkillers.

Sceptical at first, she discovered the remarkable benefits of acupuncture, which significantly reduced her pain and allowed her to resume her active lifestyle.

Inspired by her own recovery, Vikki pursued a career change and is now a proud member of the British Acupuncture Council. 

Outside of work, Vikki enjoys weightlifting, paddleboarding, roller skating and attending gigs and festivals.

A devoted fan of England and Gloucester rugby and the Pittsburgh Penguins ice hockey team, Vikki also enjoys winding down with a good book or movie.

Vida Amarteifio

Practice Director & Osteopath, HS Osteopaths


Vida graduated from the British School of Osteopathy with a Bachelor of Osteopathic degree and holds a Post Graduate qualification in Advanced Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation (AIPR).

She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the Institute of Osteopathy, and the Waltham Forest Osteopathy Group (WFOG). 

With over ten years of experience working in oncology within the NHS, Vida brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her practice at HS Osteopaths.

She treats patients of all age groups, focusing on addressing the root causes of issues rather than just the symptoms.

Her treatment options include somato-emotional release, cranial-sacral therapy, electrotherapy, and dry needling/acupuncture.

Vida also specialises in treating stress and posture-related pain, often linked to chronic headaches and upper extremity dysfunction syndromes.

Emma Retter

Corrective Exercise Specialist 

Emma is a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Personal Trainer with a background in Osteopathy, having studied at the University College of Osteopathy (UCO) for four years.

She has over a decade of experience working with physiotherapy referrals and holds additional qualifications in dry needling and various other therapeutic techniques.

Emma's previous career as a professional dancer and her experience working in a physiotherapy clinic give her a well-rounded perspective on movement and injury recovery.
